| His passion for nature photography started after several holidays in the wild nature. Especially when a lot of his pictures were bad after a magnificent trip in Scotland. He was disappointed, so he decided to take lessons about photography. Four evenings a week, during one year he studied the basics of photography in Antwerp (Belgium). Meanwhile he started to practicize seriously his passion. He crossed by accident another photographer in a hall of indoor-climbing (his second passion), who invited him to join his club.(natuur in beeld). After years of travelling and experimenting together with his collegues, his passion was a fact. Meanwhile his equipment has evoluated from a simple manuel 'praktica'-camera to sophisticated 'Nikon'-camera's with lenses, flashes and other undispensable stuff. Future holidays will be choosen by his ability to take nature pictures. Especially tropical environments are of interest. He went for example twice to the Republic of Congo, 3 months to Gabon, Madagascar, Peru and Borneo. But he doesn't only take pictures on holidays, also his own backyard and several little parks nearby are his playground. One thing is sure, he has found his passion. |
